A/N: For those who have never had sex or learned it in school, on the streets, from your parents, or whatever, you all should know that one's anticipation for that first time is not going to be a wonderful fairy tale dream because one is always nervous about how well they will perform. Sometimes, they criticize those around them, like their nearest and dearest friends. Maria is a good person in general, but right now, she is kind of scared, as I sure you all were for that first time. In the movie, Kurt was at that age to have errections and talk about sex. He is a kid and does not know anything. It just scares the heck out of Maria.

A/N: Quotations are there to point out the nicknames and italics are thoughts. I hope that helps you out, dear readers.

Maria Rainer did not know what to expect on her wedding night. She had no one to go to give her "the talk."

Maria grew up in an orphanage and the person who ran the place was a man and she was not about to ask him for "the talk." She was too embarrassed to ask the Reverend Mother about "the facts of life." The Reverend Mother was a virgin too and knew just as much as Maria did about fornication. Liesle seemed to know more about it than any other woman she knew, but she knew that Liesle was a harlot for sneaking around with Rolfe the Nazi.

Note to self she thought while trying to figure out how to "do it," I should probably remind her where her loyalties lie and to follow the way of the light to the Lord.

There were a couple of "tasteful" cartoons, such as "lead pipe," but they were unrealistic and Maria did not trust cartoons to determine how to "do it."

She completely and utterly loved Georg, but she did not know how to satisfy his needs.

There she was, the world's oldest virgin trying to figure out sex. Maria was in her twenties and she never heard of the word "penis" until she became a governess for the Von Trapp's. She only the word once when Liesle said something about Kurt erection.

I must talk to Kurt about that too. Better yet, Georg can.

One time after Louisa went to a picture show with a few friends and Bridgetta, they talked about Greta Garbo and Jean Harlow and how divine they were. Then Kurt said something about "doing them."

Maria once saw a couple necking in the streets. She wanted to ask them what to expect on her wedding night, but to go up to a complete stranger? Never! Never!

How is she going to fulfill her duties as a wife to Georg? She so wanted to have babies and make him happy. Georg deserves to be happy. She loves him so much! Georg deserves to have the night of his life after they are wed, but how will she learn? If she has practice, then she would be "impure."

No! Maria was not the likes of impure. In fact, she was morally rigid and believed that she was pure.

Then came the wedding, it was lovely. Finally, the big event.

Maria spent maybe an hour in the bathroom trying to get ready for "the main event."
