To Cato,
I know what I did.
I was the one who pointed out the tracker jackers to the little girl. You think I'm stupid? There was a deadly nest of wasps hanging over my head! I noticed! How about you? Wait, you were too busy flirting with that girl from one… Sparkle? Shimmer? No, sorry, Glimmer. What kind of a name is that?
"The victor of the seventy-fourth annual Hunger Games- A really deadly killer- Glimmer!"
Doesn't quite have the same ring as Clove, does it?
You were sad when she died, but I laughed. Not in front of you, of course. I had already hurt you enough. Then the rules changed, and we knew that we had a new chance. That didn't last long. You threw me out of your life to kill the Firegirl.
"Go to the feast, Clove. Make sure you save Firegirl for me. If not, make it a good show."
I screamed for you. I had never screamed, not even when I twisted my arm out of the socket in training. As you knelt over me, begging me to stay alive, I didn't care anymore. If you cared so much, why didn't you tell me?
Blame it on yourself. Blame it on me. Just promise me one thing.
Don't be afraid to die.
Love and Hate,
Clove
(Strange, I know, but hopefully a good story. Thanks for reading; Stay tuned for more!)
