Extremley short one shot that deals with the aftermath of 'To the Last Man'. Focuses on the Ianto/Tosh friendship with them discussing Tommy/Tosh; Tosh/Owen and Ianto Jack

Tosh entered the Torchwood Three building alone, much earlier than she would usually have liked. However, today, the day after Tommy had left them forever; the two days after they had shared a bed, she couldn't bear to be in that house.

"You're up early" she turned sharply, and relaxed when she saw it was only Ianto. She smiled, although she was aware it wouldn't reach her eyes

"The same could be said for you."

"Yeah… I had to come in early… Jack needed something done."

"Of course" there was no cynicism in her tone, however she knew that Ianto's early morning call, if indeed he had left at all had been about much more than just business. She knew this, and yet she pretended she didn't, partly because she could see how awkward he was becoming, and more because today of all days, she couldn't bear to think of people happily in a relationship.

"Coffee?" he offered, but she declined, and he looked at a loss as to what to say next.

"What time is it anyway?"

"Quarter to seven. Listen, Tosh… how are you feeling?"

"I'm fine." she noticed that he hadn't moved, and she prompted him, "Didn't you want coffee?"

"No. I just thought that you might." A heavy silence fell between them and Ianto stared at the ground hard, as if believing it would provide the answers

"Well, I better go get those case files on the sleepers" she began to walk away from the unnerving quiet, but Ianto's voice, strangely loud called to her

"I know how you feel."

"What?" she rounded on him suddenly, wondering how he, in his perfect relationship with the enigmatic Captain Jack could possibly understand

"I know how you feel." he repeated slowly, "Torchwood killed my girlfriend, remember?" and with a start, she did recall Lisa, the half woman, half machine who Ianto had loved. She'd forgotten simply because it had been so easy to. Ianto never mentioned her, and seemed to have forgotten all about her himself, but now she suspected that he never had. Just as she felt she would never quite forget Tommy.

"Does it get any easier?" he seemed to consider this for a moment, before he replied

"Definitely. It doesn't feel like it now Tosh, but you'll move on."

"Like you."

"Like me" he nodded slowly.

"But of course with two of the only three men I know taken up with each other, what chance do I have?"

"There's always Owen" Ianto remarked, and Tosh was surprised how little the idea pleased her. Perhaps sensing her new found distaste, Ianto raised an eyebrow

"I thought you liked him"

"I did." she said, before changing her mind again, "I do, it's just…"

"It's just?" he prompted

"It's just after Tommy… Owen doesn't seem quite as appealing anymore."

"That's because you know Owen, and you know of his many, many faults"

"I knew Tommy too"

"Yeah, well Owen might surprise you yet"

"Since when have you been so pro Owen?"

"Since I discovered that you can find love in the most unusual places."
