Princess Celestia looked out upon the night sky with her younger sister, Princess Luna. Their eyes gazed fell on a mare flying in the night. The mare flew toward a star and took in her hooves, but she soon set it down with her head hung low. Princess Celestia looked at the pegasus with sorrow in her eyes. Princess Luna looked at her older sister, then back at the mare. "That's her, isn't it?" Luna asked as her eyes filled with tears. Celestia kept staring at the mare leaving an unspoken answer.
Flashback
Celestia walked into the throne room to see her own sister transform to Nightmare Moon with the mare right by her side. Nightmare Moon shot an attack at Celestia cackling. The mare stared in shock for a short while before she joined Nightmare Moon in attack Celestia. Celestia opened part of the floor with her magic revealing the Elements of Harmony. Celestia flew into the sky with the Elements of Harmony. Nightmare Moon flew into the night after Celestia with the mare following close behind. Celestia released the power in the elements banishing her sister to the moon for a thousand years. Celestia turn toward the mare. "Star Dust," Celestia started. "You have committed treason against me and my kingdom, you will not be banished, but punished!" Celestia's horn glowed golden as the same golden glow surrounded Star Dust. "You will wander the world forever, your sight and unicorn magic scattered among the stars in the night!" Star Dust's eyes dulled and her unicorn horn dissolved into to dust, the dust scattered itself around Equestria. Star Dust set herself on the ground and trotted out of Canterlot.
Flashback end
Tears formed in the corners Celestia's eyes. "Oh, how I wish I remembered where I scattered your sight and magic," Celestia said with regret. "How I wish I could undo this curse." Luna watched as Star Dust picked up another star. Star dust threw it back into the sky as she fell onto a cloud and sobbed. Her sobs were quiet, but anyone could see her agony. She soon flew up, a little wobbly, and flew towards Ponyville. "All we can do is hope Twilight may able to assist her," Luna sighed as she stared at Star Dust's retreating figure. All we can do is hope.
