The lightning flashed and water poured as if if was a and tails curled up on the couch of the thorndyke residence while the rest of the gang were out dealing with Eggman sonic and tails couldn't go out because sonic can't run on water and tails can't fly in the lightning
So here we are as more thunder clapped tails slowly got closer to sonic seeking comfort and warmth sonic opened his arms as lightning flashed across the sky and made a long boom sound
Tails gladly dived into his brothers arms as they wrapped around him and enclosed around the poor shivering fox "there there" sonic said pulling the blankets up "don't be scared tails I'm right here" sonic said hugging tails tightly "thanks sonic" tails said snuggling into sonics soft warm fur
"Tails I gotta go the rain stopped and eggman is causing a lot of trouble tails" sonic looked down and tails was sleeping soundlessly on his chest and stomach "ok tails I can stay here" the hedgehog said quietly pulling the blankets up over them both n response tails snuggled closer to sonic and put his head on sonic neck "thanks big brother" sonic heard him say in his sleep and smiled falling asleep as we'll
2 hours later
When knuckles silver shadow rouge and Chris got home Chris said quietly "I'm going to go straight to bed goodnight everyone" "goodnight Chris" everyone yelled to him up stairs a groan from the couch got everyone's attention
Sonic slowly opened his eyes and looked around puzzled before his eyes fell on his friends then he remembered tails was on his chest he turned bright red as he looked at his friends and slowly said "it's not what it looks like"
His friends slowly turned and saw tails tear streaked face "yeah it so doesn't look like you raped tails or any thing" knuckles shouted angrily" I didn't I swear" sonic said pleadingly "guys guys sonic is telling the truth" said tails awake from all the commotion
"He was looking after me from when I got sick so I layed on my big brothers chest for warmth and the lightning triggered my anxiety so I cried and sonic comforted me " tails said curling up on sonics chest more "now if you don't mind I'm going back to sleep" tails said and closed his eyes
"Wow I didn't know you had it in you faker" shadow said looking impressed "don't tell anyone"sonic said protectively wrapping in arms around tails and falling asleep
