Chapter 1

Jason's POV

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG! The ship was tipping, Jason realized as he fell off the chair. Something had gone wrong! Festus (now a flying Greek war ship) was supposed to be landing at Camp Jupiter in a few minutes. Had the Roman's decided to shoot the ship down?

Jason ran up to the top deck, where he could clearly see the problem, and it wasn't Roman's. On the bow of the ship was the largest snake Jason had ever seen. It was the size of a small building and fighting it were Leo, Annabeth and Piper. Jason ran over to help. He took out his sword and jumped onto the snakes back using his momentum to bring the blade down on the snake's neck, but the blade only bounced harmlessly off.

"The eyes!" yelled Annabeth, "Aim for the eyes!"

Taking the advice Jason summoned lightning, hitting the monster right in the eye. Using the lightning as a distraction Annabeth ran under the snake and stabbed it in the heart.

"What was that?" yelled Clarisse, running up from the living room, followed closely by Jake, Grover, Thalia, Katie Gardner, Connor and Travis Stoll, Will Solace, Rachel Elizabeth Dare and Chris Rodriguez.

"Nothing, just killing a giant snake. Now if you all don't mind I have to go drive the ship" Leo yelled while walking away.

Clarisse looking very mad stomped up to Jason, "Why didn't you come get me, I could have helped you kill the monster!"

"I didn't know where you were." Jason replied.

Suddenly a crackling came over the PA system "Ladies and gentlemen this is your Supreme Commander Leo, saying we will be landing at the Roman camp in 30 seconds. 29, 28, 27, 26, 25…"

"Excuse me a minute" said Clarisse, climbing up to the bridge.

"24, 23, 22, 21," came Leo over the PA "20, 19, 18, 17, uhg…"

"Shut up idiot"

"Hey, you can't hit me I am the Supreme Commander"

"Oh yeah?"

"Uuuhhhggg"

With that Clarisse came walking back.

"What was that about?" asked Katie.

"He was getting on my nerves"

"But Clarisse," Annabeth said, "Did you really-"

"Guys? I think we're landing." came Jason's voice, as the ship touched down on the grounds of Camp Jupiter.
