ONE-SHOT: STEBEKAH
"Don't worry, guys, I'll take care of them! You two, spend some time alone! Especially you, Bex. You worry way too much!" Cynthia exclaimed, itching to chase Daniel whom scared her earlier on. Rebekah shot Stefan an uneasy glare and he said, "Bekah, it's okay, as far as I know Cynthia won't let anything happen to them." Cynthia bit her bottom lip, hoping her best friend would say yes. "Alright, fine. But, don't you dare let them touch the china glass or let them climb on the cupboards. Also, don't allow them to draw anything on the walls, Stefan and I just had them painted a few weeks ago!" Stefan smirked and grabbed his wife's hand, leading her to the car. "Have fun, my lovelies! Don't be rebels and stay out all night!" shouted Cynthia.
In the car, Stefan turned up the radio, listening to You Give Love a Bad Name by Bon Jovi and in an instant, the thought of Lexi returned. His face fell emotionless and he only focused on the road. Rebekah noticed his sudden silence and placed her hand on his thigh, "Hey…are you alright, Stefan?" Stefan nodded, not really listening. She shrugged and tried to keep talking, "This song's catchy. What do you think?" He didn't answer. Rebekah then became annoyed and demanded, "Stefan, tell me what's wrong!" Stefan sighed, "It's just…Lexi, Bon Jovi's been reminded me of her." His wife felt a little bit jealous, forgetting that Lexi was only his best friend. "Lexi-"Stefan interrupted, "Who was a supportive friend, Rebekah." Rebekah then turned confused, "Was?" Stefan softly spoke, "She was my best friend. But she died…on my 162nd birthday." This time, Rebekah stayed quiet for a long time, feeling sorry for him.
Twenty minutes later, Stefan's adorable smile returned when he parked. Beforehand, he asked Rebekah to close her eyes until they reached their destination. "We're here, Bex." Her eyelids fluttered wide open and she was amazed. Her husband took them to a drive in cinema to watch The Last Song. "Aw, Stefan, thank you! I've never been to a drive in cinema for ages!" Stefan took her hand and kissed the top of it and caressed it on his cheek, "Your welcome, Mrs. Salvatore."
