"The Warrior of Light?" Garland asked. "If that be your title, should you not be fighting some Warrior of Dark or the like?"
Garland had always found the man's way of talking without giving the impression of movement unnerving. It was no different now. "I fight that, and those, which puts darkness in men's hearts."
Garland laughed. "How vague you are." Brandishing his sword, he assumed his battle stance. "So I suppose you consider me one who brings darkness?"
The warrior frowned. "Well you certainly are no garland."
Was that supposed to be a joke? Garland had no time to ponder it, the Warrior of Light having leapt at him the moment he'd finished speaking.
The fallen knight smiled. Perhaps an eternity fighting this man would not be so terrible.
