Harvey

By: eScapefreak

Random words on the life and death of everybody's favourite neural clone Harvey.

After seeing 'FarScape: The Peacekeeper Wars' I started counting the costs of the carnage therein.

Joolushko Tunai Fenta Hovalis – I was already missing the 'Princess's' screaming, flaming red hair and superior attitude. She chooses to stay. The Scarrans callously decide to kill those remaining in the Temple on Arnesk. Her image disappeared from sight.

Lo'La – not a person per say, but hey I'm being sentimental here. She was the little Luxan ship with the invisibility shield and the need of contact with D'Argo's DNA to obey commands, blown to smithereens by the Scarrans.

Ka D'Argo - the Luxan warrior died a hero's death. Mortally wounded he chose to stay protecting his friend's as they escaped from the Scarrans. We 'assume' the Scarrans and their Charrid guard killed him.

Scarran War Minister Akhna - the only death where I actually cheered. What sweet justice to see her die.

And finally there was Harvey. For a moment, just a second mind you I thought of how one of the torments of John's existence would be missed.

This one's for Harvey...

Warning: If you are looking for grammatical correctness here forget it! Some swearing also included.

Spoilers: 'FarScape: The Peacekeeper Wars' and the many deaths therein.

Rated: PG - 13.

This is my 6th published fan fiction and 5th FarScape fic. For anyone interested I am in the middle of writing an epilogue for 'Beautiful' and am currently writing chapter three of my Voyager fic 'Within.'

Disclaimer: I don't own anything FarScape; well except for my DVDs, posters, postcards, books and videos – especially 'The Peacekeeper Wars'... okay a lot of stuff. Except for the things in my head I have no control over the characters or the show whatsoever. FarScape and its characters were created and controlled by others...

Harvey

Wormhole knowledge was the reason. Created due to another man's need for ultimate power. A tool, a device, inserted into the Human's brain in a chip. He was Scorpius but he was also John. Surrounded by the playground of  this mind; he was both. He was a neural clone; a link between two minds. He was Harvey.

He questioned. He probed. He teased. He talked too much, or too little. He yelled. He screamed. He whispered softly. He was an enemy, a friend. He was always there. He understood. He deceived. He strategised. He annoyed. He joked. He laughed. He begged. He cared. At times he was the only one.

They were two he was two. The battle won by one. The victory short lived. Death. Then there was one and one. The chip was gone but the task and the clone remained the same.

You name it he became it. Astronaut, rabbit, detective, cartoon, crash test dummy. The greatest. The lowest. Hawaiian shirts. A rollercoaster ride. Cups of coffee. Easter eggs. Einstein. Pop culture.

Inside the mind it was there. He could not find it.

"Give Scorpius what he wants. Give him wormholes John and all this can stop."

"How many times do I have to tell you Harvey? No smoking in my head!" "Go away Harvey! Do you want to go back in the dumpster?" "Fuck You."

A wormhole weapon.

Given, taken, gone.

The knowledge gone. Failure. Death. As white as a ghost. One last goodbye. A golden covered death scene. Slowly degenerating. Death. Peace.

One last kick in the arse, an awakening...

Goodbye Harvey.

The End.

A/N: To TPTB thank you so much for 'FarScape: The Peacekeeper Wars.' You know what we want now...more!!!
