The war against the titans is over. I watched as my comrades celebrate the fall of the creatures who fought against us. I remember my pledge to kill every last one of them. The only way for all this to be over is killing myself. True, everyone (except the Military Police) has accepted me as they discovered how I became like this. They never gave me that fearful look as they saw me after that. But even after all those accomplishments, I remember the deaths of my people, they died to protect me.
My fellow trainees, Squad Levi, and the people I met in the survey corps. Many of us survived, but that still doesn't change my guilt. Here I stand, outside as I hold a knife over my chest. I could hear the cries of my friends as they attempt to stop me. I could see the worry in Levi's eyes as I looked over him. The cheers of the Government officials as they realized what I'm doing. The sad looks I received from Civilians that viewed as their hero.
Just as I was about to kill my self, someone slapped away the knife. I looked over my shoulder to see Levi, my Captain, my Friend, the person I managed to befriend with, and Lastly, the person I harboured feelings for. He pulled me towards him as he begged me to stop. He told me that we could find a way. That we could remove my abilities to turn into a titan. The rest of my friends crowded us as they told me reasons why I should live. I felt like I'm loved.
Even Horseface gave me a Speech! I looked over where the Military Police gathered, they looked displeased that I survived. I feel so tired so I let the darkness consume me.
The next day, I woke up in my room. As I go towards the dining hall. The other members gave me a smile and asked me if I'm doing alright. I entered the dining room where the rest are. Jean is arguing with Connie, Armin and Mikasa talking peacefully, Hanji babbling about her discoveries. And Levi watching with slight amusement in his eyes as he watched Erwin's eyebrows twitch in annoyance.
Hanji was the first one to announce my presence, the others gave their greetings as I sat down next to Levi. I smiled at how wonderful my friends are. I don't even know if I deserve them. But all I know is, I will enjoy the chance they gave me as we moved on.
