E3, 20XX - Nintendo Press Conference
The room is dark and the same countdown timer from the January Switch presser emanates from the screen. The crowd is silent, knowing their hopes for Nintendo to learn from their mistakes is about to be dashed. They cling to that hope regardless. Reggie Fils-Amie steps on as the clock hits zero.
"Hello, and welcome to the Nintendo E3 press conference."
After the usual droning, Reggie announces he will now show off an unannounced game.
The lights in the room dim. The screen opens with a dark room, in some kind of facility. Dust swirls in the air and it's clear that whatever this place is, it's been abandoned for a very long time. The camera pans as drum beats shudder in a vaguely familiar tone. A green object, some kind of vial-shaped tube is hooked up to an ancient machine. It seems innocuous enough.
The camera jump cuts in front of the vial. All is quiet, all still. Then a red orb appears, and then two below it in a pyramidal shape, then an outer layer of them forms. The metroid moves toward the glass and the camera cuts as it shatters.
From the black that was cut to, it fills in a Fusion-Suit-blue-background. The Varia suit helmet's outline fades in orange. The shuddering drum beats swing into a guitar riff of the original theme - the green visor flashes like an ignition as the game's title flares underneath:
