Blind

They found her in the foetal position, her body curled into a ball, nail marks down her cheeks, and blood slowly seeping out of the fresh wounds, staining the sheets that had encased her for six weeks, killing her slowly. She was frozen forever in the darkness of death. She died two days, six hours and twenty seven seconds before the doctor's appointment that would have freed her. Her name was Isabella.

...

Six weeks, sentenced to six weeks. One day in and it was already feeling like forever. Six weeks and she already missed the ugliness of the world around her. Without her love she wished even for the wrinkles and boils of the neighbour. The horror of darkness overtook her completely. She had a hunger for the light that woke her every morning, which had made her curse the day, now she pinned for it.

It had been an accident, her loss of love. The encasing darkness happened quickly, a puncture to her heart. The steady hand of Alice scratched the surface, but the issue is dense. The image of a finely manicured nail giving her the finger was burned into her mind, replaying over and over.

The burning horror of the unknown was twisting around her; she was unaware of her surroundings, unaware of her appearance. She could feel herself being stared at on the street, not seeing, but feelings the eyes following her. She saw him standing there, there with her. Everyone else was forgotten, they were both on an island all of their own. Isabella Swan and Edward Cullen were the perfect couple, even they knew it. She was perfect in appearance, as was he. He was twisted and tortured, she was innocent and sweet. Edward was with someone else, some girl called Jessica, Bella didn't even know she had a last name until she had seen it in Edward's phone.

Her days began to drag on; time didn't slip and slide like she wished it would. To her it seemed as though time had found a way to deify her, to slow down and drift along. It had found a way to skip in the meadows of despair, being distracted. She had lost count of the days; she slept and ate when her body demanded it. She was slowly trapped in her own mind, the darkness of the truth pushing her into a deep depression. She tuned out the seemingly constant ringing of her phone, she knew it was Edward trying to apologize, she didn't want to hear it.

... there isnt a cliff hanger.
