I'm..really nervous about posting this, mostly because I figure anyone who reads it will go, "Kay, what was the point of that?" I mean, I can understand posting a collection of drabbles (I like reading those myself) but, just two? What? That's not worth anyone's time! . *sigh* Oh well, I'm still proud of the little things themselves. I've never written for the Tangled fandom before, and I found it's actually quite fun! That being said, I'll probably update this in the future with more drabbles. But for now...this is it! (GahIamsosorry!)
Rain
There were a multitude of reasons why Rapunzel loved the rain: The beauty of the lightning dancing among the storm clouds, the cool, clear water cascading down from a darkened sky, the feeling of rejuvination once the storm had passed.
Eugene's hand brushing her damp hair away from her face, drops of rain slipping from his skin to hers. A soft, gentle kiss shared between the two of them, his arms keeping her dry. Love in the middle of a downpour.
To her, the rain was beautiful.
Need
"But...you were the most notorious thief in the entire kingdom! You've escaped from prison before - you can do it again!" She was hysterical now, tears streaming freely down her face. "A-and I'll come with you! I don't need this crown, this... this castle, any of it!"
"Hey.." His hand against her cheek, softly wiping away her tears, quieted her for a moment. She couldn't bring herself to meet his gaze, and she closed her eyes, even as she felt him lean his forehead against hers.
"Listen to me," he continued, his voice so soft, so gentle. "This kingdom needs its princess."
A sob broke free from her throat. "And I need you."
One last thing: The second drabble is loosely based on "Hangman's Noose" by doodlegirll (Awesome fic. Go read it!). It's kinda like speculation for what might come next. I hope it's okay that I did that!
