"Mommy! Mommy! Guess what I got!" little Aquanette toddled into Annabeth's office. She hid her chubby arms behind her, and stared intensely, with her big gray eyes waiting for mommy to answer her.
Annabeth took her eyes off her laptop. "Whatcha get Hun?"
A big grin met Annabeth. "Guess!"
"I don't know..." Annabeth started," Did you get something at preschool?"
"Yes!" Aquanette squealed, "Eva gave everyone a Silly Bandz!" She shot her wrist up and stuck it into her mothers face.
"Eva gave me a tie-dye sun!" Aquanette started," I really, really, really want them... can we get some at the store?"
"I don't know Alex has baseball practice and homework-" Annabeth began.
"But Mommy! Alex would like them too! They are all the rage!" She bent down on her knees and put on her best puppy dog face.
Annabeth sighed. "Didn't we just get you those free wrap stuff just last week? I thought that was the craze."
"It was, but now its silly bandz. Please, please, please can we get some? Oh, and by the way, it's called PRE wrap… not free wrap." Aquanette shook her head, her mother would never be cool and up-to-date on all the crazes like the other kids parents were.
"I sorry, but we just got some "New craze" thing last week."
"Fine!" Aquanette stomped to her room.
Blue and gray surrounded her. She ran to her midnight blue owl bedspread. Aquanette threw everything all over the place that was under her bed until she found what she was looking for, a suitcase.
"I need Tutty the turtle, Pre-Algebra the Owl and money. Looking around the room, she found her piggy bank and smashed it on the ground. Coins spilled out. Quickly, she gathered her stuff, packed it, and left her room.
"I'm running away, and never coming back!"
Aquanette ran out the front door of her house and hid in the backyard, behind the big willow tree, the leaves would hide Aquanette. Mommy is a big sucker when she does this. What Aquanette didn't know, was why her mother didn't want her to run away... of course, because she if her daughter, but Aquanette did not know about monsters, and all the troubles with her other side of the family.
"Aquanette! Where are you?" Annabeth called out from the porch. "I can't play games with you now; I have a big project, due in 2 days."
"I am not budging, until I get my silly bandz."
"Fine! I will get you your silly bandz, just come back into the house!"
"Okay," Aquanette said, with a smile upon her face, as she skipped to her mother. Annabeth just sighed, put her hands on her head as she shook her head. This happens every week.
Yeah.. Kind of weird… I wrote this, because silly bandz are so popular in my school.
