Not Meant to Love~

Love is a question Maka will never understand.

Maybe it's because when she was younger, her father cheated on her mommy with other girls. She never quite got what true love is either. Was it real? Was it fake?

If her papa really, truely loved her momma, why did he kiss other girls behind mommas back?

It still confuses Maka today.

She tried to forget the lonely nights she had to stay home while her papa was out with a different girl from yesterday.

She especially hated thunderstorms and hated it when she had to face through them by her self. She would hide in side of her closet until the loud noise went away.

It may be wrong, but still she smiled when her parents filed for divorce when she was 13. It meant that her mom wont be hurting no more. But it also meant that her mom will be gone for a very long time.

Her mom decided to go around the world, by herself. Her mom will never trust men again and neither will Maka.

Now Maka's 18, and still, shes confused. Her Mom's been gone for more than 5 years now. Her papas still the playboy father.

Her weapon even has a girlfriend. Her weapon is the only boy Maka can truely trust. She eventually fell deeply in love with Soul, but she didn't dare to tell him.

Her best friend Black*Star is dating his weapon. And her friend Kidd is dating one of his weapons as well named Patti.

Maybe the 'love' between her and her weapon wasn't meant to be. Maybe Maka just wasn't meant to love.

When her father ditched her when they were supposed to be at a resturant for Maka's birthday, she felt like she was betrayed yet again. She hasn't talked to him since.

Then Soul started ditching their training sessions to be with his girlfriend, Blair; But its okay, she always tells herself, Soul is still your partner.

Then they got married and like Maka said, maybe I wasnt supposed to fall in love with anyone. But Maka knew that she couldn't trust her heart again. Whatever her heart told her to do, Maka would do the opposite.

But she was still happy for them. Other then her broken heart aching to be healed, she smiled through the pain.
