I don't own Harry Potter
Hermione Granger would never have been in Ravenclaw. She's studious, yes. She's smart. But she's not Ravenclaw material.
Rowena Ravenclaw had always been the pickiest about her students. Yes, not Salazar Slytherin, not Godric Gryffindor, but Rowena Ravenclaw.
Ravenclaw had always been the smallest house.
Why? Whilst the three other founders look for like-minded people who agree with their views, Ravenclaw looked for children willing to challenge her ideas, her views.
They have to seek the truth, seek the ultimate right. Seek to know. Everything. In other words, the curious, those who thirst for knowledge. Not for money, not to please or impress, not for power, but for their own satisfaction to know. But to challenge one of the great founders of Hogwarts was not something everyone can do.
No, Hermione Granger doesn't have what it takes to become a Ravenclaw. She never challenges the words written in books, she seeks knowledge to please her professors, to impress her peers. That's not to say she didn't seek knowledge from curiosity, but she would never become a Ravenclaw.
That is not the case for Harry Potter though. For once in Hogwarts history, the hero of the wizarding world is sorted to Ravenclaw.
I thought Ravenclaw needed a bit more love, so here this is...
