"Demyx!!"
Demyx whispered to his new pet, and it under his bed as an angry red-head entered his room. "Hey, Axel!" Demyx greeted, his voice cracking on Axel's name.
"You know Heartless aren't to be kept as pets."
"I have no idea what you mean!" he exclaimed loudly to cover up the scratching underneath his bed.
"Demyx, do I like look like a moron to you?" Axel asked angrily as he turned over Demyx's bed, so the Shadow Heartless scampered and attacked Axel.
"Argh!" Axel yelled.
"Kuro-chan! Off the angry pyro!" Demyx exclaimed as he pulled the Shadow off of Axel and snuggled it close.
"I heard Axel yelling..." Roxas said, showing up at the door with Xigbar.
Demyx waved to Xigbar and Roxas, only to have his 'Kuro-chan' attack Axel again. "Ah, Kuro-chan, not again!"
Roxas and Xigbar looked at each other for a moment and burst out into laughter as Axel cursed and fought of the Shadow clawing at him. "Again?" Xigbar asked between laughs.
Axel tossed the Heartless off him and jumped up, calling his chakrams. "I'm going to kill it!" Axel roared as he started setting Demyx room ablaze, and Roxas and Xigbar stopped laughing.
"Axel! You're going to burn down the whole castle!" Roxas exclaimed as he back out of Demyx's room.
"No, Kuro-chan!" Demyx yelled as the flames went towards his pet. In a last ditch effort, Demyx summoned his unstable water clone, "Dance, water, dance!"
The flames died out, and Axel was drenched. The Shadow Heartless scurried out of the room and into the shadows of another room. Axel stood still with shock as water dripped from his no longer spiky hair. Xigbar rushed over to Demyx and grabbed his arm.
"Time to get outta here, Dem," Xigbar muttered as Axel twitched a bit.
"What, why?" Demyx asked.
Axel roared out angrily and the flames returned with a vengeance. "I'm going to dismember that Heartless!!" Axel yelled as he went in the direction of the Heartless.
Demyx face fell. "Nooo."
Roxas popped his head back into the scorched and waterlogged room. "I'll go after him and see if I can clam him down so he doesn't scorch your pet..." Roxas muttered as he followed the trail of fading flames.
Xigbar looked over at Demyx. "C'mon, let's go wait for Roxas to come back in my room. We'll hang out and talk about why you thought a Heartless as pet was a great idea."
