Author's note:
Hello! It's been a while, yeah?
I'm still not in the writing mood, but I thought I'd just put this out there. This story is heavily influenced by the song Friday by IU. Although I'm not into kpop, I randomly heard this song and loved the beat, so I searched up the lyrics and they were really sweet and cute.
The song is basically the desire to see your loved one & the feeling of anticipation of wanting to see your loved one right away. The singer sings about rushing the clock so she can finally see her loved one, the anticipated day being Friday.
Please enjoy (this took me half an hour to write, so you can probably see the vagueness of this short drabble and sluggish writing haha)
Enjoy anyways!
Thanks,
Ging.
She stared out into the daylight through the clear windows, her teal eyes dazed from the glare and brightness of the sun. The tips of her fingers tapping on the desk as her lip curled to a small smile as she closed her eyes and listened to the ticking of the clock.
She exhaled and felt the sensation of another's fingers caressing her own. She broke out of her daze and turned her head to her brother, a pasted grin on his face as he raised a brow.
"How're you?"
"Good."
"Never seen you so relaxed.."
"I'm okay."
He gave her one last smile before heading out the door.
"Monday will be a busy day…" she nodded and rolled her eyes.
"Tuesday seems...too rushed. Right?" she slugged her shoulders and furrowed her brows.
"Wednesday feels…weird." Her pink lips parted to an unexpected smile, sheepish on her part, as the embarrassment rose to her reddened cheeks.
"I'm not a fan of Thursday, though." She thought, rubbing her head with frustration.
"This Friday?"
"How about this Friday?"
"Friday's a good day…"
He smirked, and nodded his head.
"Friday."
She diverted her view at the calendar, her heart racing faster in excitement.
Monday.
She rested her chin on her palm, pursing her lips out as she knotted her brows in irritation. Her heart felt defeated. Sighing loudly to herself, she stared out into the daylight through the clear windows.
"Time, please go faster."
He rubbed his chin with his index and thumb, biting his lip. Laying his leg on the coffee table in front of him, he leaned his head back to hang his head and close his eyes.
"Ah, I hate waiting." He murmured to himself.
"Hey." The blonde blinked his eyes, his large sheer blue eyes staring down at him. The boy was always easy to read with those baby eyes.
"What day is it, Deidara?"
"Monday, danna."
"Ah, I see. Friday it is. What a long way to go." He smiled to himself.
