GWER CHALLENGE: ETERNAL MEMORIES
Disclaimer: I do NOT own any of the Mobile Suit/Fighter Gundam Series, including Characters, Mobile suits/fighters, etc.
This one-shot story takes place 12 years after the Eve wars and is aimed around Akira Fujimoto and Trieze Khushrenada's speech that got his authority over the OZ forces removed (Episode 25 of the Gundam Wing anime: Quatre VS Heero). Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead is unintentional and purely coincidental.
Residing/set in former Japan, Akira Fujimoto (aged 58) has met his daughter, Sola Fujimoto (aged around 25), for coffee after she finished work for the day and is talking to her about his most memorable moments of being a member of the old Romerfeller Foundation.
Sola: So Grandfather, Mother told me that you used to apart of the old Romerfeller Foundation, that isn't true is it?
Akira: It is indeed true. Say, why do you resent the Romerfeller Foundation?
Sola: It's not the Foundation I dislike; it's the old creeps that made up the Foundation, like Duke Dermail that I despise
Akira: You do realise that I was once an "old creep" right?
Sola: Well, I guess, but I don't understand why anyone would have willingly been a part of the Foundation?
Akira: I'll admit there were times when I asked myself the same thing but then there were times when something absolutely amazing happened, that it left everyone in the room, including Dermail, completely speechless.
Sola: ok, like what?
Akira: Like the time that one Treize Khushrenada, walked in on one of Dermail's boring speeches and proceeded to talk his way out of the Foundation. Man, what a Loser.
Sola: ok, 1 Treize did what!? And 2 you are talking about Dermail when you say loser, right?
Akira: Mr Khushrenada walked into the hall while Dermail was talking about the mobile dolls that had been created to 'protect' the earth and colonies. Treize then walks in and declares that he can no longer support the idea of mobile dolls and in his 'step-down' speech he says something along the lines of "Winners of a battle will eventually decline in power and become losers" and that he wanted to be a loser. I've never seen Dermail as completely dumbfounded as he was during the entire ordeal.
Sola: So Treize wanted to be a loser?
Akira: Indeed.
Sola: What happened after that?
Akira: What do you think happened? Dermail put Treize under house arrest in the Romerfeller Foundation Headquaters and then proceeded to wrap up and end the meeting. After that I stayed on representing Japan until Ms Relena Peacecraft made the Unified Earth Nation. I was even one of the ones responsible for helping her become Queen of the Romerfeller Foundation in power as well as title. I then retired last year and so I haven't gone back to work since.
Sola: Wait! You helped Relena Darlian become a Queen?
Akira: That's correct. And before you ask, yes I have met her. No, I didn't get her autograph.
Sola: Ok, now I'm jealous. I can't believe you actually met Ms Relena.
Akira: Hahahaha! Well, there's a chance that you could also meet her as well.
Sola: Really?
Akira: Of course, I do still have those free tickets to the Sanc Kingdom that I got when I left last year.
Sola: Haven't they expired yet?
Akira: Nope. There are still a couple of months left on them, if you want to go?
Sola: Do I wanna go? Of course I wanna go!
Akira: then as soon as we get back I'll start making arrangements.
Sola: Thanks Grandfather, You're the best!
