NOW ON WITH THE LITTLE STORY LIKE THING….

17 years ago, on a beautiful island, a baby was born. Not just any baby, a princess. It was 17 years ago today that the king and queen welcomed there first, and only child. The baby seemed perfect, with eyes that shined like the morning sun, and a full head of hair that practically reflected all light. What could have possibly been wrong?

Nothing. Nothing was wrong with the baby it self. What wasn't right was the fact that another baby had been born only a month before. A baby with the same reflective hair, and the same shining eyes. A baby born to a bigger, and more powerful kingdom. It was this baby, this princess, that the world would know.

Why do these two look so alike? Well it is said that sometimes a trait can skip around in a certain bloodline. The girl that I am describing here is my cousin, though many people think we're sisters.

For years, I have lived in my cousin's shadow. She was always the famous one, and I never understood why. She didn't really do anything except sit around and wait for some one to come rescue her. I'm the one that played sports; I'm the one that has a decent knowledge of self-defense. So why her? Why does she get the spotlight when she does nothing more than play a damsel in distress?

Just because she was born a month before me, you think that I am a clone. So is that how it works? Some one does something first and if anyone else does it afterward than they were just copying the first person? I cannot change the way I look. I cannot change the fact that I look like her. You blame me for something I have no control over.

I wish I could find a way to prove to you that I am more than just a girl that looks like someone else. I can think for myself. And I am ten times more self-efficient than she will ever be. Unlike her, I don't wait for some boy to come and rescue me if I got kidnapped. I wouldn't get kidnapped in the first place. I refuse to play that role.

But that's the role you like. You like the fact that she can't defend herself. And you hate to face the fact that I can. Is that why I'm not in any of your games? You either want to think of me as a damsel in distress or you refuse to think of me at all.

Today is the date of my birth. And today I am making a promise, to you and to myself that I will be know as more. I will prove to you that I am not my cousin. And someday soon you will be calling my name, and you will know who I am.

And Princess Daisy will finally step out of the shadow of Princess Peach.

The end.

I've been wanting to do something like this for awhile. I chose to do it about Daisy because I think people tend to think of her as Princess Peach look alike instead of her own person. This is supposed to sound like it was written by Daisy but I don't know if it worked or not. Please review and tell me what you think! Oh and sorry it's so short. I tried to make it as long as I could but I ran out of ideas.
