I'm starting to really love poem writing........
Fairytale: (fer'ē'tāl) n. 1.a story about fairies, royalty, witches, magic, goodness, wickedness, etc. 2.a story made up to amuse children, unrealistic
What is in a fairytale?
Well, they all have a princess,
a beautiful young lady,
who is utterly hopeless,
and can't do a single thing for herself.
They all have a prince.
Astoundingly handsome,
ever so slightly brainless,
but his heart is in the right place.
And they all have a Witch.
An ugly old hag,
Someone who is unwanted, unloved,
and instantly hated by the reader.
Always the one person that stood in the way
of the prince from getting his beautiful, dumb bride.
The one who's killed at the end,
punished for her Wicked deeds.
The enemy, the loathed,
with the terrible apple-green skin,
and black, pointy hat.
Elphaba threw her book against the wall.
She never did like fairy tales anyway.
I'd love your opinion on this one, as I think it's rather interesting....
