Prologue: The Dream

I ran through the dense, creepy forest, running as fast as I could. Running from what; I do not know. As I ran through the creepy forest, I was not scared of what was around me, I felt happy, like I had not care in the world. I slowed down so that I was walking. My hand was resting agains one of the many trees, but this tree seemed different, almost special. This tree had a twisting trunk with its branches hanging down around it like a weeping willow tree. I sat down up against one of the many long, knotted roots with my back up against the trunk. As I sat there I observered the forest around me, from what I could see. While this felt comforable and calming, the rest of the forest was haunting and scary. As my forest green eyes ghosted over a bush, I saw yellow-gold eyes staring back at me. A gasp escaped my throat, as I stared wide-eyed as a huge gray and black wolf, walked out from behind the bush, towards me.
