A/N: What I think Riku,Kairi, and Sora were like as kids.

Disclaimer- I don't own KH for the last time already!

"Sora it's time for you to go to bed!" Sora's mother called from downstairs concerned about her little boy. 'Aww…man…' Sora thought to himself, he wasn't tired and wanted to play more games. He wanted to play with Riku and Kari and never have to go to bed. But Sora always forgot there's always a tomorrow, but I guess you think like that when you're a child.

Sora looked out his window and gazed at his beloved Destiny Island. It was home, and he could not imagine being anywhere else. But at times he wondered, what was really out in the world? Did every place look like Destiny Island? Was every place just as peaceful?

Today ,earlier when Sora and Riku played in the cave. Riku brought up something that never struck Sora.

"Y'know there's monsters behind that door…" Riku pointed to the secret door, the door no one dared to open. What led behind it was unimaginable. Was it a doorway to dreams or was it a doorway leading to nightmares? Every time he thought of this, Sora became perplexed, part of him scared ,the other half of him curious. "Come on open it!…You know you want to…" Riku urged on.

"No! You open it!" Sora suggested.

"But I asked you first!" Riku huffed impatiently. "Sora! You're just a scaredy-cat!"

"Well…You're…You're —ugh.. I'll prove you wrong!" Sora stepped up to the challenge, he gathered all his strength and reached for the door. Riku was abit shocked at his friend's actions-he never knew Sora –the boy who ran around screaming about sand in his pants-had so much courage. In a way Riku was jealous-for it was not him but Sora taking the lead. Despite his jealousy Riku admired Sora's courage. "Sora wait!"

Sora turned to look at his white haired pal. "Take this!" Riku tossed Sora the wooden sword they played in pretend battles.

"Thanks!" Sora gripped it tightly. As he edged his way to the door-his nerves bunched for the moment of truth. The door knob creaked as he turned it, "Here I go!" Sora shouted as he pulled the door with all the strength his tiny body withheld. The door now open-had nothing behind it, all they dreamed of all for nothing. The door just led to a cave wall-un marked by their childish graffiti. Sora felt disappointed, Riku nearby comforted him. "Well…um…maybe there's a secret passage…and um….we have to draw it!" Riku tried to sound hopeful but it did not help Sora at all.

Sora sat on a nearby rock looking every once of defeated. Riku frowned, "C'mon Sora…it's just a stupid door!" The two walked outside. Kairi ran up to them. "Hi guys! Did you guys find a new world?"

Riku motioned for her to hush, Sora held his head lower. Kairi apologized and gave her fried a pat on the back. "It's okay Sora. There's another world out there for us."

"Yeah I guess you're right!" Sora held up his head and smiled. "Last one to the other side of the beach is rotten egg!" And so they forgot about the door and played with their other friends on Destiny Islands. They all went home with out thought of the door except for Sora who knew that something was out there.

Did it suck? I hope not. Constructive critisim please!
