Maleficent fell down onto the couch with an audible, "THUMP!"
She had just gotten her little baby girl Kendra down to sleep, which many in this strange family knew was a difficult task at times. Maleficent's husband Hades was putting their adopted daughter, Vanessa, to sleep. They both had stayed up late with the two after consuming way too much sugar, while everyone else was fast asleep.
Maleficent had to admit that sometimes it was just nice to spend time with her husband. Simply just to sit with him and talk, and sometimes a little naughty act or two.
Maleficent, still deep in thought like she always is, didn't even notice Hades coming down the uneven stairs of her castle, and coming near the couch.
"Hello dark and deadly. The name's Hades, Lord of the Underworld, and the husband to The Mistress of All Evil." Maleficent smiled and turned into the couch blushing a bit at the words he said when they first met. Hades was a much laid back god, but that didn't mean he was like that all the time. He could get very angry and serious if needed be, and romantic.
"I refuse to rise for one hundred years," Maleficent said into the cushions. Hades laughed and knelt beside her, "You're not Sleepin' Beauty. Even though you want to sleep and you are beautiful."
Maleficent felt the heat in her cheeks once again. She always did whenever someone, especially Hades, complimented her. She wouldn't exactly call green skinned and literal yellow eyed beautiful. So it was always new every time she received some sort of praise for her looks.
Maleficent finally turned to look at her husband smiling, a smile that made Hades melt. "Anything you need?" she said sitting up. Hades sat down next to her and pulled her close to him, "Just reminding myself of how lucky I am to have you, and how lucky you are to have a strong, handsome, smart, funny, and amazing husband."
Maleficent rolled her eyes and laughed, "I can't remember him having that description."
"Oi, that hurts," Hades said in a mock hurt tone. He then poked her side making her emit a rather childlike giggle. "Stop it!" she squealed. (which she rarely did)
Hades just laughed again and kissed her cheek. "I love ya. Ya know that right?'
Maleficent looked at him and nodded, "I do." Then to her surprise Hades scooped her up bridal style and said in a low voice, "I am happy to inform you that everyone is asleep as of now. So I intend to spend the time in silence wisely." He smirked and teleported them both to their room which being the two hell-like beings they are, indeed had a hell of a night.
