As Sam watched his brother die, every single one of Dean's deaths flashed in front of his eyes.
And when Dean's body went still, San brought him back to the bunker. And of course, he tried to summon Crowley.
How many times had Dean saved him from Death? Regardless of Sam's will to live or stay dead. How many times had Dean taken care of him? It was time Sam returned the favour.
Dean's last words seemed to be engraved in his mind. They kept repeating themselves, Sam could even hear Dean's voice. I'm proud of us.
Sam summoned Crowley with those words in his mind. He wanted his brother back. But he'd never imagined Dean would come back as a demon.
