I remember that Troy was , of course, the king of the school and Gabriella was the nerd. In the beginning she had a brother that was on the basketball team with Troy, I think his name was Tony. She was on the schools newspaper team. They start dating and her mother doesn't like the relationship and eventually troy break his leg or something and had it in a cast and thinks he's a waste of space.
