Author's Note: Just in time for Christmas! I'm planning for this story to be 4 chapters, excluding the short prologue.

Phoenix/Miles. Takes place after GS5, and will have spoilers for the entire series.

Prologue:

2) Christmas decorations

3) A Christmas tree*

*Must be at least five feet tall. Use Apollo as a measuring guide if necessary.

"Uh… Trucy?" The young magician was making her way to each of the lawyers in the office, handing them a piece of paper with their own personalized to-do list. "I know I promised you a good present this year, but I don't think I'll be able to do this last one," Phoenix halfheartedly chuckled.

"It'll be fine Daddy, I'm sure you can find a way to move a Christmas tree without a car."

That's not exactly the part I was referring to…

Athena, who had been fairly quiet while scanning over her checklist, stood up abruptly, unable to control her excitement. "Yeah, Boss! If you can take on prosecutors every day, I'm sure you'll have no problem with a measly tree!"

"The Christmas spirit will give you strength!" Widget cooed in agreement.

On the couch next to where Athena had been sitting, Apollo held his paper in both hands, staring at it in disbelief. "How come mine only says 'cleaning' and 'magician's assistant'..?"

"Minor sacrifices for the party's well-being!" Widget cried out again from its place around its owner's neck.

"Athena?!"

"Oops! Sorry Apollo, this is just the first time I've really celebrated a holiday since I was in elementary school… I guess I got a little carried away."

It would be the first time in a while for her, wouldn't it…? Phoenix rubbed his index finger against his chin, contemplating. For Apollo too, I bet, since we didn't do anything for it last year…

I guess this year is as perfect as any for a party. And with all that's happened recently, we certainly need a break.

Athena (who was put in charge of cooking, but much to Phoenix's dismay wasn't doing any baking) chattered away, spouting ideas about the dishes she was thinking of making. Trucy planted herself next to Apollo and picked up the agency's land-line from it's place on the coffee table. She looked at her own paper and started to punch in the phone number of whoever the first invitee on the list was.

Phoenix swore the beep of the buttons sounded like Christmas music.
