A/N: The scene where Peter punched Sylar in 'The Wall?," well I loved it, a lot. So much so that I just had to write a fic based on on that scene.

Minutes became hours and hours turned into days, which grew into weeks inside the nightmare Matt had created in Sylar's mind, which Peter had willingly thrown himself into. All for her. For his friend. For Emma.

If Sylar was the one destined to save her, and those she would unintentionally kill, he would risk almost anything to ensure that it happened. To save Emma, he didn't hesitate when it came to throwing himself into the head of his brother's killer and the empty, lonely world that existed there, despite all the risk involved in such an act. She meant too much to him, and was too good a person for him to let anything happen to her.

Sitting on the edge of the roof representative of the one that held the most memories for him, Peter sat alone, thinking of the situation which he found himself in and his desires to escape this place, with Sylar, in order to rescue Emma from the danger that awaited her.

While in his contemplative state, time was lost to him. He was completely unaware of how long he had sat alone on this roof with only his thoughts, when the voice broke through.

The voice of the only other person to occupy this dream world, caught him off guard and caused him to turn around in surprise.

"Give it up, man. Can't go forever without talking to me. I mean, it's been a month. That's impressive. There isn't anybody out there. There never will be."

"I'm not gonna spend the rest of my life here, alone, with you."

"Oh. It isn't exactly heaven for me either. Here," Sylar said tossing a 9th Wonders comic in Peter's direction. "I know you like comics. I couldn't find Doc Savage or Flash--"

Before Sylar could even finish what he was saying, Peter flung the comic over the side of the building, where it sailed to the ground far below.

"What the hell is wrong with you?!," Sylar responded with a bit of an edge to his voice, having been surprised and a little shocked by Peter's actions.

Peter slid of the roof's edge, stepping up toward the face of the last person on Earth he ever wanted to be stuck with, until they were merely inches apart. "You need to stop messing around and focus," Peter stated directly into Sylar's face, an underlying anger coating his words.

"Oh... focus right, 'cause we gotta get out of here so we can go rescue... what's her name again?"

Being stuck for what constituted as a month in this world's of Matt's creation, with the man who had ripped his beloved brother from his life had Peter nearly brimming over with anger, and when Sylar showed disregard for Emma and forgot her name, he lost it. His fist flew into Sylar face with such force, that not only did he cause Sylar pain, but he hurt his own hand as well.

Shaking the pain from his hand, Peter divulged the information Sylar had forgotten that had caused his anger to boil over, resulting in the mighty punch he had just released. "Emma. Her name's Emma."

"It's time to face reality, Peter. That girl is gone, and if she was meant to kill thousands, they're dead too. Everybody's dead except us."

"The only thing that's real is us."

Peter knew Sylar was wrong, that Emma wasn't dead, that she could still be saved. He knew that this world wasn't real. One day he would make Sylar see that. One day that would find a way to get out of here and get back to the real world. And on that day, they would rescue Emma.

No matter how long it took, whether it be months or even years, he would not give up. He would not forget about Emma. He would not let her down. No matter what it took, she would be saved. Of that he was certain.
