Brown

Brown. All she could see was brown. Bella's long hair was sticking to her tear stained face as the wind rushed by her. She knew his coffin had been lowered into the ground by now, it had been almost an hour since she left the scene. The sight had been both too much to absorb, and too little. A nice gaze over the ocean from the top of a hill seemed just the right way to spend this moment. They had always appreciated and been amused by the usual sentimental actions of lovers. But, as soon as she made her way over to the hill, the wind picked up. Here she was, facing a beautiful ocean on a beautiful evening, and all she could see was the deep brown of her hair in her face.

"Bella? I really want to kiss you right now", Fred stated confidently.

The sun had just begun to set, and Bella's heart was racing faster than it ever had before. They were sprawled out on a blanket in the fields behind the Burrow. They had been discussing his father's collection of muggle products when he took her hand in his.

Bella smiled ,"Could you be any more blunt? I'm not quite sure I got the message..."

Fred smirked before he took her chin in his hand, and kissed Bella softly on the lips.

Brown. All she could see was brown, until she felt a hand slide into hers, and looked over to see blazing red. George couldn't seem to look at her, but Bella understood. She reminded him of his brother. Just as George reminded her of Fred. They stood together silently, with George's eyes glued to the sky, and his hand glued to Bella's. So many people had warned her that being around George would be too difficult, too unhealthy for her recovery. Bella knew that she needed him, though, but not anymore than he needed her. She would have to see Fred's face on someone else, yes, but George had to live in his body.

Bella's blue eyes welcomed the night as the wind that had blinded her began to cease. She heard George clear his throat, and she looked over at him.

She was surprised at her own words as she whispered them, " Can we go inside? I don't want to be out here anymore."

"Inside?", George repeated, still staring out into the dark. " Yes, that sounds like a good idea."
