He couldn't have. He just couldn't have. A Marauder turning his back on his friends? How could I believe this? One of my dearest and closest friends turning over our other dearest friends to the Dark Lord?
He wouldn't do this! He just wouldn't! Never! How could he? How could he after everything, everything that's happened, everything we've been through together?
Oh, Merlin, it's true, isn't it? How could this happen? WHY did this happen? This shouldn't have happened. Shouldn't I have noticed any odd behavior of his?
