Winter Weather

Staring Kakashi and Sakura
The news flasher a winter storm warning as Sakura pulled on her coat & scarf.
She turned off the t.v. and walked out the door into the cold snow under a pitch black starry sky.
She couldn't help but be teary-eyed as she walked to the memorial where her parent's names were carved, last Christmas, they were killed in action, exactly one year ago to the day. The wind and snow blew calmly around her and the moonlight shown through the clouds and reflected off her eyes.
It was quiet, except for the wind & her breath, nothing was heard. She walked to the memorial where a silver haired masked man stood quietly. "Kakashi." She breathed his name. He didn't respond, she walked closer to the statue, they stood in the cold silence for what seemed like hours until the silence broke.
Tears rolled down Sakura's cheeks as she fell to the ground on her knees.
"WHY? why? mom, dad! I miss you so much!" Her sobs grew quieter as she tried to dry her tears. She knew there was no point in crying, yet she couldn't stop herself.
Kakashi knelt down and put his arm around her.
"You shouldn't be crying on Christmas."
"I know, but i can't help it, I miss them so much."
"It's okay to miss them, but they wouldn't want you to cry for them. Come on, it's nearly 2:00 in the morning, and I can see you shivering, you need to get out of the cold."
She wiped her tears and he helped her up. They walked to his house.
He grabbed a log of firewood on his way in.
"Want some hot chocolate?" He asked casually, trying to be social.
"Sure, thanks." She tried to smile and sat on the couch to curl into a ball.
Outside, the once gentle snow turned into a violent blizzard. The power flickered off.
"hm." Kakashi sat the cold chocolate milk by the fire place. "I guess it'll take longer than I thought." He laughed, Sakura smiled.
He sat on the couch beside her and they watched the fire, Sakura started to drift off and leaned on Kakashi's shoulder.
