[A New Day]

Izaya Orihara, the information broker of Shinjuku, was attending another Dollars meeting in Ikebukuro. So was Shizuo Heiwajima.

Mikado grinned as the smugglers were taken away by plain clothes police men. They had messed with Dollars, and Dollars had not only cracked the code, but delivered an air tight case for the prosecution.

Izaya was off lamenting about his employer wanting the code to join Dollars, and Mikado went in and changed the password for the fifth time. If he changed the password before the 'employer' was on the email list, then perhaps he could keep Izaya's influence out of the web site.

Oh, who was he kidding.

If Izaya really wanted to hand it over, Mikado doubted he would control the Dollars for much longer.

"Ah, Shizzy-chan! There you are!"

Mikado's head flew up, and yes, further down the street was Shizuo-san. And Izaya was waving him over. Mikado tapped out a quick message.

Izaya and Shizuo at Dollars meeting. Proceed calmly to the nearest exit, and help the others out. Do not panic.

Shizuo was storming over to Izaya as ringing came out across the square. The police cars pulled out of there, the criminals in the back seat wetting themselves when the police stopped to direct the people out.

Izaya stopped waving, and started walking towards Shizuo-san.

A noticeable emptying was happening closest to them. People moved steadily out, some people stopping and inhaling deep breaths before a hand snagged their wrist and dragged them along.
Mikado looked after them, edging himself closer to the hanging, playing 'caught on the other side' body language. He kept checking the widening area and how close Shizuo was to his current position.

Izaya remained mostly in hearing distance, although if Mikado wanted to talk to him, he would have to raise his voice now.

That's when Mikado noticed. There were signs bent at funny angles behind Shizuo moving closer with him. He edged near a pillar for cover, and turned on his video.

Masaomi was so not going to believe this. Anri was so going to scold him for being in danger. But this was interesting. Shizuo certainly stormed over, but he hardly brought sign posts with him.

Mikado wondered if something had escalated in their relationship, as Shizuo rarely instigated the violence. Of course, if Izaya was in Ikebukuro, he had already violated Shizuo's orders, s perhaps the new weaponry was justified. But didn't Shizuo usually fire a warning thought?

The first time was a convenience store trash can, right?

Izaya slung a hand into his pocket, and watched as Shizuo came closer. His stance was relaxed, but he was a parkour user, so maybe…

Ah, good. The battery was high and the filming angle captured Izaya and Shizuo.

Shizuo stopped a few feet from Izaya, one arm bent behind his back. Then he dropped to one knee and swung his arm out.

"Damnit, will you marry me? Izaya?"

Izaya stared at him for a moment.

Well, Mikado reasoned, it wasn't everyday you were propositioned with a bouquet of collected street signs.

And then he started tapping.

Will Izaya accept Shizuo's proposal?

The video clip of Shizuo proposing to Izaya hit 6,000 views by that evening.

The video clip of Izaya flinging himself onto Shizuo and declaring 'yes' was repeatedly being uploaded by a very determined administrator and taken down by a hacker.

Finally, someone suggested that the video be put on a password protected private channel to record the moment.

The password was 'Damnit damnit damnit damnit damnit damnit damnit damnit!'
