"Ben."

Ben twitched.

"Tinga."

Tinga's eyes narrowed.

"What are you doing?" Ben heeded the warning in Tinga's tone and thought carefully before responding.

"Cooking?"

Wrong answer.

"Get out! Out! Out! Out!"

He darted from the kitchen, ducking as a frying pan cam flying at him, impacting the wall and lodging itself inside with a quivering finale.

"Told ya, mate," Owen Harper stated, staring at his cards as Ben darted inside the relative safety of the common room. "Never mess with a woman's kitchen."

"Man, never mess with a woman, period," Warrick Brown agreed in his smooth-as-whiskey tones, setting two cards on the pile in front of him before drawing two to replace them.

"Truer words were never spoken," Aiden Burn drawled in her Brooklyn accent, setting one card down and drawing another to replace it.

"They were just a few cookies!" Ben defended, falling back into an empty recliner with a scowl. "I don't understand what the big deal is."

"You'll ruin your supper," Toshiko Sato chastised, peering at her cards for a second, little furrows of concentration wrinkling her brow. "Call."

"Tosh, baby. You're cruel," Warrick shook his head as he tossed his cards down – a lowly pair of deuces.

"I'm not sure I'm playing this game right," Sirius Black stated, setting his cards down – four of a kind – all twos.

"Seriously, man!" Aiden protested, dropping her cards to the table. "If you don't stop messing with the cards we aren't going to let you play no more!"

"I can't help it," Sirius shot Aiden his best puppy-dog eyes. "It just happens."

"Bollocks," Owen stated bluntly, tossing his cards down – a full house – before looking eagerly to Tosh. "Right, then – what have you got?"

Tosh grinned as she let her cards fall, eliciting groans and curses from the rest of the table as they took in the all black aces and eights.

"Dead man's hand," Tosh smirked. "I win."
