Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter. JK Rowling Does. I don't own the song "Rain". Breaking Benjamin does.
Rain
Take a photograph,
It'll be the last
Not a dollar or a crowd could ever keep me here.
She cried. She pleaded. She begged on her hands and knees. He was too stubborn. He wouldn't budge. She didn't want him to leave. She needed him. She loved him. But yet; there he was, leaving. Leaving his job. Leaving his things. Leaving Hermione.
I don't have a past.
I just have a chance.
Not a family or honest plea remains to stay.
Why he was leaving, she doesn't fully grasp. Did she do something wrong? Maybe. She didn't mean to, she knew that much. But what was it? Should she ask for forgivness? But hasn't she already? She doesn't want to watch him go. And it starts to rain.
Rain, rain go away
Com again another day.
All the world is waiting for the sun.
As he turned at the last minute, he offered up a smile. A sad smile. He turned and boarded the train. Her legs gave way. She fell to the ground. Her tears and the rain becoming one. She really has no clue what she's going to do now. Without him.
Is it you I want
Or just the notion
Of a heart to wrap around so I can find my way.
As the train leaves the station she stands. She looks at the window and she sees him one last time. He turns and meets her eyes. The train slowly, ever so slowly, leaves to go. Go where? She doesn't know. Away from here. Away from her. The gray eyes remain locked to the tear filled brown ones until they can't no long. She falls again.
Safe to say from here,
You're getting closer now.
We are never sad cause we are not allowed to be.
Rain, rain go away
Come again anotherday.
All the world is waiting for the sun.
Rain, rain go away
Come again another day.
All the world is waiting for the sun.
She goes back to their apartment. Her apartment now. She doesn't change out of her wet clothes. She walks into their bedroom. Her bedroom. Looks at all his clothes he's left behind. All his trinkets. His smell is still in the air, on the pillow case. And the sheets reek of his cool yet spicy smell. She lays not on her side, but on his. Drinking in his smell for as long here as she can, to smell him for the last time. Memories flash through her mind. This bed.
To lie here under you
Is all that I could ever do.
To lie here under you
Is all that I could ever do.
To lie here under you is all that I could ever do.
To lie here under you is all.
She still hears the rain. It's like the Gods are crying. Their wonderful creation has been ruined. Like all the old sculptures from the Roman times, cracked, broken, heartless. The rain is what makes it worse for her. It's reminding her that he's not here to protect her. To love her.
Rain rain go away,
come again another day.
All the world is waiting for the sun.
Rain rain go away,
come again another day.
All the world is waiting for the sun.
Rain rain go away,
come again another day,
All the world is waiting for the sun.
All the world is waiting for the sun.
All the world is waiting for the sun.
She goes to her desk and takes out some parchment and a quill. She writes:
Dearest Draco,
I miss you already. I still don't understand why you left, and you wouldn't explain it properly. So I guess it's up to me to find a way to figure it out. Is it something I've done? If it is I'm so sorry. Please come back Draco. I love you with all my might. I'm so lost without you. Just think about it.
All my love forever,
Hermione.
All the world is waiting for the sun.
I hope you like it... First fic!
