He was wandering about in the gardens aimlessly, smelling the flowers, when he saw her.

She had long flowing dark brown almost chestnut hair draped down her back. She wore a light pink sundress and light brown sandals. She was singing in a clear, light, high voice that sounded like a bird's chirp. The words she sang were foreign, but the song was beautiful nevertheless. She turned slightly and their eyes met hers a deep sea green with golden flecks at the edges that sparkled when she blinked. "Hello," she whispered. He started slightly. "Who are you?"

He answered in a rough voice completely the opposite of her. "I'm the Tribute from 1, Cato. Who are you?"

She smiled and did not answer. She swayed as she made her way over to the roses and tulips. She took a deep sniff of a yellow flower. She began another song:

Flowers bloom

Sun comes up

Rain will fall

Beauty strong

Sea is green

Sky is blue

When I

Am with you

Nature's way

Of saying hello

You and I on the grass

Tempts its gentle breeze

You kissed me

I kissed you

We are glad

Me and you

Flowers bloom

Sun comes up

Rain will fall

But I'm with you

She finished and sighed, still smiling. Cato smiled back, but she took no notice. She had begun to hum. Cato waved and crept back into his room.

Weeks later, as he stood bleeding atop the Cornucopia, he realized he did not know her name.

And as he fell to his death, he knew he never would.
