Considering who it was he was dating, it really shouldn't have come as a surprise to Oliver when Rin suddenly burst into his room, red-faced and looking close to tears.

He sighed and closed the book he was reading. He had been enjoying the quiet and solitude, because he didn't have any songs to record that afternoon and Piko, his roommate, did. Oliver had just wanted to relax in his off time and not have to deal with the chaotic whirlwind that was made up of the other members of Crypton Future Media.

However, he was dating Rin Kagamine. Achieving peace was virtually impossible under that particular circumstance.

"What's the matter?" Oliver asked patiently. He loved Rin, he really did, but she could be quite the handful sometimes.

Rin angrily brushed her blonde bangs out of her face and crossed her arms, huffing, "Len went and got rid of all my oranges!"

Oliver blinked in confusion. "That's it?"

"What do you mean, that's it?! God, it's like you don't know me at all!" Rin exploded, "Oranges are my life and soul! It's like Miku and her leeks, you know?!"

The British boy shuddered. Everyone was familiar with Miku and her leeks. "Okay, I understand why you're upset, but—"

"Of course I'm upset! What if I went and hid his bananas?! What then? DAMMIT LEN, I WILL DESTROY EVERYTHING YOU LOVE," she shouted suddenly. Oliver distantly heard Neru loudly demanding that Rin shut up.

He sighed again as Rin began ranting once more, ignoring Neru down the hall. Why did he have to fall for this one? The one that flew into a rage whenever she lost oranges? Why couldn't he have ended up with someone else, like...he didn't know, maybe SeeU. Or maybe one of the other Engloids? Why Rin Kagamine? He'd hardly gotten any peace and quiet in the months since they'd started dating.

However, now that he thought about it, those months did leave a lot of knowledge with him. Namely, how to deal with Rin when she went into one of her fits, and how to prepare for it.

Without saying a word to interrupt his girlfriend's rant about how she was going to expire and shut down and die, Oliver leaned back and stretched across to reach the mini refridgerator that was wedged between his and Piko's dressers. He flipped it open and fumbled around, keeping a wary eye on Rin (who still had yet to notice) out of fear she would tackle him if she caught on.

He allowed himself a small sigh of relief when he found what he was looking for, and Rin's raving was suddenly cut off when a small round something was tossed in her direction. It took her a moment to register the orange suddenly resting in her hands, and her smile when she did could have eclipsed the sun. Letting out a high-pitched squeal of glee, she pounced on Oliver, nearly knocking him out of his beanbag as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou," Rin shot out breathlessly. She grabbed Oliver's collar and pressed her mouth against his. Though initally surprised, it only took the boy a moment to kiss her right back, hands coming up to hold her shoulders. It was over far too quickly and he fell back, dazed, as Rin set about peeling her shiny new orange.

She flashed him a brilliant, beautiful smile. "I love you!"

Well gosh, if a single orange was all it took...

Huh, Oliver thought. That's why.

He smiled back. "Yeah. Love you too."

A/N:

I can't write romance, wow. This was just a request from a dear friend of mine who ships these two with a passion, so I was happy to oblige.

Thank you for reading!
