Crawler Poem

Let the darkness slip in to your eyes
Let it seep down and taint your soul
We will wait
Wait until the light is under the horizon
Wait until the shadows of night embrace us

Under the moon
Under the moon

Hush

Hush… Hush…
Gentle, gentle screaming near
Music, music to our ears

Move forward
Soft, shifting sand beneath our feet
They will cry out… for there is fresh meat

We devour the light
We taste it... so sweet

Let us hear your blood churning shouts

We taste dreams
They are delicious

Let us hear your silent screams

We gorge on innocence
So pure, now so decadent

Let us watch your face turn pale, your blood run cold

We will feast
We will feast

They shrink; crumble… rot away, these ones of sand!

They die
They die

But some endure for they our sure
That their light will one day return

Poor little toys
Poor, poor little toys

These far flung ones of green and blue…

New… so new
New… so new

Come toys, come to us or we will come to you

Let's play
Let's play

Let their light die!

Die
Die

I loved the Crawler and the Children's dialogue in Shadelight so when this came to me I was very excited to write it, the Darkness characters are so fantastically creepy. This is sort the Crawler and Children narrating themselves from the time before they attack Aurora to the time the Hero and Walter arrive in Shadelight. Thank you for reading.
