Melanie Pop was walking along to school, humming notes. She loved to sing. Someday, she wanted to become an idol, but she needed to study hard in school first. She began planning out her future in her head. With her head up in the clouds, she didn't look where she was going and she tripped on something.

There was a green sheep plush. Melanie picked up the sheep and said, "Did i trip on you? Sorry about that." The sheep smiled and exclaimed, "You ~hitsuri! You're the legendary warrior ~hitsuri! Cure Cherry ~hitsuri!" Melanie laughed and told her self she was imagining things. She stuffed the sheep plush in her bag and continued on to school.
At school, she went into the Sakura classroom. She sat next to her best friend, Erika Shirozai. "What's Ms. Chevre going to teach today for English?" asked Erika to Melanie. Melanie shrugged and english class began.
At lunch, Melanie noticed that an orange haired girl was sitting all alone. She went over to the orange haired girl, and cheerfully said, "Hi! Can i sit here?" The orange haired girl smiled and said, "Sure! I'm Agatha Grace." Melanie held out her hand and said, "Melanie Pop! Glad to meet you!" Agatha smiled and shook Melanie's hand.
[Eyecatch 1: The Power cures look in a mirror and turn back, and smile. Midoji jumps up happily.]
[Eyecatch 2: The Power cures open an oven and Violetta brings out cupcakes that look like Midoji. The girls smile.]
After school, Melanie unzipped her bag and took out the mint green sheep plush. "What were you saying earlier?" she asked. The sheep hopped out of Melanie's hands. "I am Midoji ~hitsuri! You are the Legendary Warrior of Doubutsu no Mori, the one with the power of flowers ~hitsuri! Cure Cherry ~hitsuri!" A circle shaped case appeared. "That is your Power Pact ~hitsuri! You use it to transform into Cure Cherry ~hitsuri!" explained Midoji.
Suddenly, a roar was heard. Melanie grabbed the Power Pact and ran outside. "Oritsugurifon!" said a giant robot griffin. "Quickly, say 'Precure Power Flash'!" exclaimed Midoji. Melanie nodded and yelled "Precure Power Flash!" Suddenly, her hair grew longer and lighter. Her clothes shifted into a cherry blossom themed dress, and her shoes became white mary janes with pink socks. She did a pirouette and said "The blossoming power! Cure Cherry!"
Melanie blocked some hits from the beast, and throwed some well timed punches as well. She raised and waved her hand gracefully and yells "Blossom Storm!" A wind swept through the area, carrying many deadly cherry blossoms. The cherry blossoms impacted the robotic griffon and it fell over. While the beast was down, she waved her hands and formed a cherry blossom the size of a rafflesia. She pulled her elbows back and punched forward, making the blossom go forward and wrap around the griffon. The beast dissipated and yelled "Bouquet!" Midoji smiled.
