Fairy Tail's Academy of Magic

Fairy Tail's Academy of Magic is one of the most prominent schools of magic in Fiore. After the invasion of the Alvarez Empire the Fiore government decided that the upbringing of mages could no longer solely rest on guilds and founded the first Magic Academy. Not to be outdone in anything the guilds soon followed suit in founding their own. (Syoc open: Teachers 0/5, Students 0/12)

Academy of Magics

Cadwailade stood in awe in front of the large building. The large iron gate stood open. A six foot high iron fence surrounded a wide spread lawn. In the middle stood the imposing building of the Fairy Tail Academy of Magic.

The building walls sprang from the soil like the very dirt insulted them. The white ornate sandstone seemed to pretty to touch the earth, indeed it seemed fancier than many a palace. The windows were oversized, mullioned almost cathedral-like. Every room inside was basked in daylight from the first of dawn until the twilight hours. Smooth stone stairs led up to the large heavy dark wood doors, reaching about twenty feet high.

The girl just stood still, gawking at the view in front of her with open mouth. A hand on her back ushered her forward. She glanced up at the tall man behind her with a mischievous grin on her face. The man ruffled her hair with one hand and picked up the heavy suitcase with the other.

"Got everything you need?" He asked.

"Yes, dad! You went through the list three times with me." Cad replied rolling her eyes in annoyance.

"Good! I will be gone for a couple of months, but I'll hope being able to fetch before summer break."

The smile faded on the child's face. "It's a long time away."

"I know, but we need the money. Despite it's not every other parent that can take on a 10 year job." He boasted once again ruffling her hair. "Besides it's one of the best schools in all of Fiore. If anyone is able to help you master your magic, it's them. One of their students got into second place in this year's tournament and he was only beaten by a margin."

There was no reply from Cadwailade. They walked the rest of the way in silence and right in front of the door her father put down the suitcase. "Nervous?" He asked with a slight chuckle as he felt small fingers reach for his hand.

"As if!" Cadwailade huffed and immediately withdrew her hand, glaring up at her father.

"Then let's get you settled in." He replied, raised his hand and knocked on the door to the Academy.

That's the introduction for the syoc. I will need 5 teachers and for the beginning 12 students. It's not first come first serve. I will have thorough look at all of the characters submitted then I will decide who fits best into the storyline. I will try to include most other characters in at least cameos though, as I know that it takes a lot of time and patience to fill out such a complex character sheet. The story is set about 100 years after the Alvarez Empire invasion. So please take note that most originial Fairy Tail members will be really, really old or already have died of old age. Bloodties are allowed, but it will probably be a greatgrandchild or a grandchild of the original characters.
