Author's Note: Okay, so sorry this is pretty cheesy and overall crumby, but after season 3 ended I just need to write something to cope. I found it on my computer the other day and tried to fix it up... xx

"Ugh, all I want is a hot shower and to sleep," I whined as Isaac helped me limp into the house. He didn't say anything back, just helped me up the stairs and into the bathroom. He closed the door slowly as he left, looking at me in the mirror. My blood stained hands used the countertop as a brace, as I put my head down and let out a whole-body sigh, closing my eyes.

After a minute I reached behind me to turn the shower on. I peeled off my torn sweater and shorts, and stepped into the shower, praying it was hot. For a second (or maybe closer to five minutes…) I just let the water run off my body, soothing my aching muscles. It stung the cuts on my hands, but I didn't care. I could already feel bruises forming all over my neck, back and arms from it. Behind my eyelids I saw the scene unfold for the second time today.

It had me trapped, one hand on my throat and the other holding my hands in place above my head. It pulled back for a fourth time only to smash my back against the concrete again. The sinister grin on its face made me shiver. Black eyes flickered back and forth across my face as I went from red to purple. I could practically hear my lungs screaming and my head was filled with a swarm of bees. I watched the monster's forked tongue slither out of its cruel mouth to lick cracked lips.

I saw Isaac howl, my pulse too loud in my ears to hear anything else. His claws tore into the back of the creature, causing it to release its hold on me. My lungs sang as I gulped down air, but my legs gave out and I fell to the floor. Black spots faded into my vision, expanding until I couldn't see.

I snapped out of my twisted reverie and back into reality. I heard someone moving around on the other side of the shower curtain. Before I could react, Isaac pulled back the fabric and got into the shower.

"Isaac!" I yelled, using my arms to cover myself as best as I could. "I know that we were together that one time and we have this weird thing going on but that does not give you the option of getting in the shower with me!" I spoke quickly, my words mashing together as they do when I'm nervous.

"S-Sorry, I just needed… I needed to hold you." He peered at me, and I started to drown in his blue eyes. Fuck.

"Yes, well, no thanks seeing as I'm kind of naked right now!" I snarked, even though my tone was softening.

"Look, I know this sounds dumb but I just couldn't stop thinking about it killing you! What if it had killed you? I would have.. God, I don't know what I would've done but I just can't stand to think about it anymore. I just- please."

I sighed half-angrily and half-defeatedly. This kid could convince me to do anything just by stuttering a little and looking depressed. I moved closer to him and he wrapped himself around me carefully as if I was a glass doll. He tucked my head under his chin. I could feel his chest rising and falling with deep and even breaths. Even though I would never admit it, this was exactly what I had needed. I practically melted into Isaac, just listening to his steady heartbeat.

After a minute or two, I pulled away. He looked a little disgruntled, but when I reached behind me and grabbed his shampoo, he smiled. I got a reasonable amount on my hands and reached up to put my hands in his wet hair. His eyes closed and his face took up a serene mask. I slowly began to massage his head and he circled his arms around my back.
