A "Romeo and Juliet" Fan Fiction
A/N...This is super, super short, but I think it is sweet!! Please R&R!!
Juliet opened her eyes, and saw that she was no longer in pain nor suffering. She felt light, and saw light in every direction. A light breeze swept over her face, tossing her hair about her face and causing her dress to ripple.
She heard a voice, calling from yards and yards away, making the shout nearly a murmur. Juliet quickly turned around to face the cry, and saw another being before her, standing in the same sort of fog as herself.
A small tear ran down her cheek as the identity of the man became clear to her, and she ran to him, as he did to her. She looked into his eyes, the eyes that somehow, gave her all the love and clarity she needed. They felt safe, and she knew that everything would be all right as long as kept looking into them. Romeo held her by the waist, as she clasped her hands opposite his neck, standing on her toes.
"Why?" she asked softly.
"Because...I love you," Romeo whispered in her ear.
The two stood in a trace for many minutes, kissing ever so tenderly and gazing into each other's eyes with the same compassion and sincerity. They were to finally be together eternally, apart from the hostility of their naïve and judgmental families beneath their feet. Their devotion could be revealed in the wide openness of the heavens, and no longer hidden and contained from those they longed to tell the most.
Romeo gently seized his love's hand and they walked through the mist where they had, once again, united their adoration. Together, they walked to Heaven, ready to face those before them. They had escaped from the hardships of love on Earth, and knew that the ecstasy before them would be pure bliss now that they were together.
