Hi everyone! This is my first fan fiction, and it is a oneshot extract from a big fanfic I'm writing. It's the first one I ever write, so please don't be too hard with the reviews, but please R&R, next one will be either another oneshot or a story I've been planning, but I think I will not post it before Christmas, maybe first chapter posted before New Year. I know I'm new here so I don't expect many readers, but I'm happy anyway!

And something else, I'm American but I haven't been in the US since I was 9, so excuse me if I have any grammar mistakes!

Disclaimer: If you think I own either Romeo and Juliet or Total Drama Island, you should really go visit Izzy's therapist!

It was one sunny midday in the Total Drama Island camp. Both teams had a day off, and everyone was having fun in the beach, the cabins or even in the woods.

Courtney sat down under her favorite tree in the whole island. She had a new book: Romeo and Juliet. It seemed pretty good, and now she was starting it. When she had barely read the first page, she heard someone walking to her.

"Huh," he said, "it's you."

"Hello," she said "Noah."

The boy looked at the book.

"You read?" he asked in amazement.

"Why, yes," she answered "I love reading."

"What book is it?"

"Romeo and Juliet."

"I like that one."

"Wanna come over and read?"

He nodded, and sat by the girl. Truth be told, Courtney seemed like the only girl there who had brains, which Noah didn't usually find at school, where most of his female classmates were dumb, blonde cheerleaders.

"I like reading out loud," Courtney commented shyly.

"Why, sure," he agreed.

Courtney giggled stupidly. Why did she just do that? Well, Noah was actually a pretty smart boy, and he really knew about literature and all. She handed him the book.

"Oh, my Juliet!," he quoted, and rose to his feet "did my heart love until now? Forswear it, sight! For I never saw true beauty until this night!"

"Oh, Romeo!" Courtney said, taking the book and raising as well "Oh, Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore are you, Romeo?"

"Deny your father and refuse their name! Or, if you will not, be but sworn my love and you'll no longer be a Capulet."

"Oh, Romeo, my only love spring from my only hate!"

They hadn't noticed, but they were really close to each other, so close they could feel each other's breath.

"Oh, Courtney," Noah concluded softly "But soft! What a light through the window breaks? It is the East and Courtney is the sun! Arise fair sun and kill the envious moon. It is the east, and Courtney is the sun."

Courtney was totally breathless. Noah's last phrase had totally paralyzed her. They went closer, and when they could feel each other's breath in their own mouthes-

"Who is producing this non-stop yelling?" Asked an angry voice, shouting.

They both froze. It was Heather! They couldn't let her find them. To Courtney's disappointement, Noah separated from her and took his shoulder bag.

"I must sneak away so she doesn't see us here," he explained.

"Oh...okay."

"Good night, good night! Parting is just a sweet sorrow, that I should say goodbye until it be tomorrow," Noah quoted for one last time.

"Bye, Romeo," Courtney said, her heart thumping wildly in her chest.

"Bye, my Juliet."

After a one-second stare at her, Noah ran off to the Gophers cabin. Courtney sank to her feet dreamily. Those minutes had been magic. Although Noah had been quoting Romeo all along, she could feel he was meaning what he said, and she was meaning what she had said too. But if only that stupid Heather hadn't been there...

Well, how did you guys like that? I hope it was good enough! And as a fact, all the aforementioned quotes are actually extracts from the play.

Please R&R, I'm posting another oneshots and a few long stories soon!

Bye,

Nikki :)
