A/n: The beginning until "There was silence" was taken from the end of my fic "A Ring" with some alterations. Yepp.

He sighed, running a hand through his already messy hair. It was six thirty. And it was raining.

He looked down at the sleeping form of Riza. Her blonde hair was splayed out about her face and she was smiling slightly in her sleep. He leaned down to kiss her cheek lightly and he saw something glint silver out of the corner of his eyes. Her- their- engagement ring rested on its chain in the hollow of her throat, rising and falling with the little breaths she took.

He rested back against the headboard, taking deep breaths.

"Good morning." Riza rolled over, pushed herself up on her elbows and looked at him. "What's bothering you?"

He started, and then smiled a little bit. She could always tell. "Rain."

"Oh." There was a sliver of laughter in her still-sleepy gaze. She scooted closer to him and laid her head on his chest.

"We still have to go to work, though."

There was silence.

A small smirk passed his lips for a millisecond.

He leaned towards her and kissed her fully on the lips. He heard her draw in her breath sharply and she tilted her head for a moment, deepening their kiss. Then she drew back suddenly and glared at him. "Don't try to pull that trick on me, sir. We're going to work whether you want to or not."

"Oh, come on. It's a Monday. It's raining. You're already at my place. There's no inconvenience." He looked at her pleadingly.

She looked at him and said nothing. He sighed. "Why not? It's just one day. No one will notice us skipping."

"On the contrary, I'm pretty sure that it would cause a lot of attention if the almost-Fuhrer and his direct subordinate were missing on the same day. There's already enough rumours flying around about us." She started to get up.

"But they're not rumours if they're true." He got up and with one move pulled her back down.

She looked up at him and rolled her eyes. "Fine. Stay home if you want." He grinned. Victory.

"But, I'm going to work whether you are or not." She slid out quickly from under him, got up, and walked out of the room.

"All right! I'll go to work! Geez."

A/N: Yes. Fluff. Still not satisfied. I'll probably redo this.
