Emily placed her hand over her heart she could feel it beating faster than she had ever felt it beat before. She wasn't she if it was from the job they just pulled or from Tulip. She closed her eyes and tired to focus on her breathing. In. Out. In. out.
A laughing Tulip pulled her from her concentration. "That was fun. Wasn't it? I told you we could do it." Tulip looked at Emily dropping the bags she stepped toward her and placed her hands on both sides of Emily's face. "Hey." She said softly as softly as Tulip could be. "You did good. We just got to get to the safe house and were in the clear."
Emily nodded a small smile on her face. "Okay." She still sounded out of breath, her heart pounding so loud she could still hear it.
Tulip nodded back her eyes never leaving Emily's as she stepped back. "Let's go then."
"Wait."
Tulip stopped mid turn towards the bags. "What?"
Emily felt the uncertainty creep up on her. Maybe it was the adrenaline, the high from the bank they had just robbed but she needed to do this now. Summoning her courage she kissed Tulip.
And Tulip kissed back.
Emily frowned when Tulip pulled back.
Tulip grinned madly. "We can do more of that back at the safe house."
Emily laughed.
