Okay, not the best thing I've ever written, and surly not the longest, but I thought of this alternate ending for Cookie Monster last night at nearly two AM.

"Sonny?" Chad asked when he saw she was still at the Studio.

Chad walked over to the table in the cafeteria where he saw her sitting.

Almost everyone had left, and those who were still there were the cleaning crew.

"Hey, Chad," Sonny said glumly.

"What's wrong? You got your sash back… you got you merit badge and you're a," He chuckled softly," a full grown Blossom Scout. Why are you so down?"

"I don't know," Sonny shrugged, "I shouldn't feel sad, but I do…. Maybe it was because you weren't really choking… Which means it wasn't real… and I didn't earn this… and how do I know if I can really save a life or not!" she asked, looking up at Chad.

"I don't know," he shrugged.

"….So, uh… you don't happen to have anymore boxes of cookies left, do you?" Sonny asked.

"No, why?"

"Because I could really use a hug… and the only way that could happen is if I bought a box of cookies," Sonny reminded Chad.

"Well," he said, pausing for a moment to think, "I think we can make an exception…"

He held out his arms welcomingly and Sonny stood up and wrapped her arms around his back and nestled her face in the crook of his neck.

Chad smiled and returned the hug and felt something new…. There was nothing to make them enemies at the moment… he just felt like friends with her… he wondered if he could push it a little farther…

"You know, Sonny… I wasn't really acting…" he said.

"What?" She said.

"I was chocking…"

Sonny looked at him, "But you said-"

"I was lying," Chad admitted, "I didn't want to look weak in front of everyone after you saved me… So thanks… and how're you feeling?"

"Better know that I know I can save a life! And that life was yours. Wait until everyone knows about this!" She taunted Chad.

"Oh yeah?" he responded, "Well wait until everyone hears about how I taught you mouth to mouth."

"What?" Sonny asked.

Chad grabbed Sonny around the waist and kissed her briefly and said, "But I won't say anything about that. Because that was just a sample. But if you want more, CDC's always available to you, Miss Munroe."

Chad winked and swaggered out of the cafeteria, leaving a very shocked, flustered, happy, and completely confused Sonny Munroe to stare after him breathlessly.
