Who is this River? Why is she so important to him? Why do I even care?
The deed is done. I, Melody Pond, have killed the Doctor. I have fulfilled my purpose.
Then why am I looking back?
Now I'm taking instructions from a man who I have been told is pure evil. But, how can a man who cares more about my parents and me than saving himself be at all evil?

My mother's voice rings out in my head as the Teselecta changes form into the woman this man is so obsessed with.
"Is he worth it?" I ask, as a rhetorical question, my hands glowing with the power of regenerations to come. He really loves me, or at least who I will become, I can't leave him dead. Not now. Not this early.
I hear my mother faintly repeating encouragement, but it's only background noise now.
The man comes back to life with the touch of my hands on his pale face.

It's just a shame that Melody won't be around to investigate further…
