I don't own Naruto. I only wish I was that awesome.

"Open your eyes, Naruto." Sasuke commanded, leaning over his best friends body. Even after all Sasuke did to him, every last horrible thing, Sasuke could not bring himself to say that Naruto was not his friend. After all, Naruto was always the one who never gave up, who never stopped searching even when everyone else did.

'OPEN YOUR DAMN EYES" He screamed, his voice already growing raw, and sore, but he didn't even notice, let alone even care. Yes, Sasuke was beyond caring right now.

Sasuke opened his eyes. His dark onyx eyes leaking salty tears, mixing with the rain that was slowly pattering on the ground, picking up pace. He looked at the ruins of Konoha, looking at the rubble. At the bodies. Of people he once called friends, those who could even once be considered family. He opened his eyes and saw his home. A place where he felt heart-warming love, gut-wrenching sadness, searing-hot anger. It was gone, his home. It had been for years.

He looked to the sky, eyes gazing through the clouds, searching for heaven, and screamed. A loud, throat tearing, heart-wrenching scream, that echoed throughout the destroyed city, the charred forest. The tears that he seemed to have held back all his life came pouring out with a whirlwind of emotions. Some, he had even forgot what they felt like. The rain kept coming, pounding relentlessly, washing away the blood, the tears. Wiping Konoha away, washing away the memories.

He fell silent, and hung his head, his eyes focusing Naruto's face. Thunder rolled in the distance, and lightning cracked across the gray sky. Sasuke needed someone other than Itachi to keep him going. He needed someone to always come back for him. He wanted another reason to live, he wanted a person to want him to live. He wanted a friend. He wanted Naruto.

"Open your eyes, Naruto." Sasuke whispered, the wind catching his voice and carrying it to someplace that maybe Naruto could hear. In Sasuke's mind, Naruto would always be there.

A small smile tugged at Naruto's face, outlining it's way through the blood on his face, as if he understood. As if he was still there.
