Just a drabble about the GMW relationships that I see the most.

They were Water. Perfect, strong, constant. They were the couple that would always dominate. The couple that took on the world together. They were Cory and Topanga. They faced the ups and downs of life hand in hand. They could do anything. Together. A force to be reckoned with because nothing stood in their way. Everywhere, raining down from the sky or crashing into the shores. Always together. It may not always be, but when they're gone, they'll go together.

They were Earth. Dependable, expected, reliable. They were the couple everyone could immediately see. The couple that everyone was sure would happen from the beginning. They were Riley and Lucas. They were perfect for each other. They were exactly the same until they weren't. Because the earth isn't always stable. It is wracked with earthquakes that shake its foundations and cause terror on the surface. But in the end, the earth is still there, trying to pick up the pieces. It may not always be, but now, it simply is.

They were Air. Fluctating, light, needed. They were the couple that upon first glance, was invisible. They were the couple that no one saw coming. They were Riley and Farkle. You couldn't see them. But they were there. They were always there. It was in the little things. The soft touches, the few words. The little almost invisible things that meant the world. They were caught up in whirlwinds of confusion and of uncertainty. But they were always there. Necessary for life despite the struggles. And they will always be, together always.

They were Fire. Unpredictable, hot, powerful. They were the couple that you couldn't always see. The couple that gradually built up into a blaze. They were Maya and Lucas. They were intense together. They were uncertain and changing rapidly. Doomed to burn out too fast, too quick, or bring the earth down in flames. Just because you couldn't see them, you could see the signs. See the billowing smoke in the distance, feel the heat radiating onto your face, hear the crack of the embers and sparks. Even if they were to burn out, the devastation of what once was will linger, in the air, the earth and the water. They are everywhere.

Water, Earth, Air, Fire. They had the potential to hurt each other, the power to destroy each other, but they would always exist in some way, simply being there.
