Tomorrow

Tomorrow I'm gonna leave here .I'm gonna let you go and walk away like every day I said I would. And tomorrow, I'm gonna listen, to that voice of reason inside my head telling me that we're no good.

He knows that he shouldn't be doing this. But the anguished look in her eyes is killing him.

She doesn't know what he's thinking. The tears welling in her eyes are making it impossible for her to read him. So she's completely caught off guard when he leans in, his lips brushing against hers.

But tonight I'm gonna give in one last time. Rock you strong in these arms of mine. Forget all the regrets that are bound to follow. We're like fire and gasoline, I'm no good for you, you're no good for me. We only bring each other tears and sorrow. But tonight, I'm gonna love you like there's no tomorrow.

He knows that there'll be repercussions, but he pushes them to the back of his mind; right now, they both need this. She feels his strong arms wrap around her, their kiss deepening urgently.

Tomorrow I'll be stronger. I'm not gonna break down and call you up when my heart cries out for you. And tomorrow, you won't believe it, but when I pass your house, I won't stop no matter how bad I want to.

Tomorrow, they'll both pretend it never happened. That they hadn't needed each other's comfort; they'll keep on pretending to respect their line.

Baby when we're good, you know we're great. But there's too much bad for us to think that there's anything worth trying to save.

He'll hurt her- and he'll admit it. He wishes he was strong enough, that he wasn't doing what he is right now.

She's too fragile to think about tomorrow. She knows he'll go back to normal, but she still needs him.

They both know that they don't- CAN'T work. But they do this anyway.

Tomorrow, I'm gonna leave here. I'm gonna let you go and walk away like every day I said I would.

Neither of them is prepared when he says, "I love you.", and she'll cry when she wakes up tomorrow, and he's gone.
