SUNDAY, APRIL 14th, 1000 HOURS

"WINSTON! What the hell is this?" the voice seemed to boom throughout Watchpoint: Gibraltar, causing Winston to jolt up in surprise, knocking over his desk and sending the ship in a bottle he was working on tumbling to the floor, shattering on impact. "It seems someone has already found out about your little surprise, Winston." Athena said to the intelligent silverback as he bent down to sweep up the shards. "Yeah, I figured it would happen sooner or later…" Winston sighed, wearily rubbing the back of his head. He knew that the decision would probably receive some backlash, in truth, he wasn't so keen on the whole idea himself, but with Overwatch in desperate need of financial backing, he had no other choice.

"Well, guess it's time to assess the situation, eh, Athena?" Winston said as he made his way towards the door.

"I suppose it is." Athena replied. "After all, we don't want another Junkrat situation, now do we?"

Winton shuddered at that snide comment coming from his sentient A.I, after all, the said incident would've lead to the utter destruction of the place he called home if it weren't for the collective efforts of all the Overwatch agents. Since then, Winston made sure Junkrat wasn't allowed to be in twenty feet of any explosive device without supervision, a job his partner-in-crime begrudgingly took to doing. In-between things like this, managing Overwatch's internal and external affairs not to mention facing all the PR bungles left after Overwatch's disbandment; it was a wonder Winston got any time for himself.

"By the way, call all Overwatch agents to the conference room by 1300 hours, we have a lot to discuss." Winston turned to his AI companion, already halfway through the doorway. "As you wish." Winston nodded and headed off to face the sheer chaos that would probably await him.
